“pissed on a communion wafer” is now one of my favorite lines EVER. Totally stealing that and attempting to utilize it, at least weekly.

This is why I think this is such a common reaction. Women tend to be more sensitive and overanalyzing. While men would take the old “I’m into you but I don’t think it’s a good idea right now” at face value, your average woman would most likely hear “I’m not that into you”, “I’d rather get some sleep and be well rested for work than have sex with you”, or “I have a low sex drive and think your sister is hotter”.

So I guess the root of my answer? Women are insane.

What got you into physics in the first place? Has that raw interest changed? Does the subject matter immediately at hand still interest you, and the professors just suck that badly? Or has the stuff covered in day to day become as un-stimulating and wearing as wading through a molasses flood?

Out of pure selfishness, I hope you find your physics muse again soon. I haven’t even really had a chance to pick your brain yet.

Maggie Gallagher, and other members of her freakdom, are balking because they are beginning to recognize how all of this is going down and know how they’re going to appear when all is said and done. THAT’S what she is afraid of. Gay marriage becoming the norm, and people looking back at her old bag self and seeing her for what she is; a frightened, insecure biggot on par with klansmen and other hate filled individuals of American history. None of her arguments hold water. Particularly her bullshit about how same-sex marriage will make marriages non-unique. How the eff does she figure? It’s still a permanent (haha) commitment between two people who love each other, right? Is there any other type of relationship comparable? Or am I missing something?
